Job summary

Torrens University Australia is seeking a Finance professional to support month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations across banking, revenue, receivables and other financial statement items.

You will also assist with monthly and quarterly close deliverables, analytics, and disclosure packages while working with Business Intelligence and other finance teams to drive process improvements and smarter ways of working.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level accounting qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with finance month-end close processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; exposure to PeopleSoft is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of supplementary monthly and quarterly close deliverables.
• Support periodic internal and external audits.
• Handle ad hoc financial requests as required.
• Adhere to internal control requirements including SOX-related reporting.
