Job summary

Plena Healthcare, Australia’s leading national allied health provider for aged care, community and disability sectors, seeks a mobile Speech Pathologist to deliver dysphagia and communication services to adults in residential aged care and the community. You’ll join a supportive team with pathways for supervision and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Speech Pathology with active membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
• Driver's license and reliable transport.
• Willingness to travel nationally to regional locations.
• Experience with adult dysphagia and communication disorders is valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage calendar and locations with flexible hours.
• Assess swallowing and communication difficulties in adults.
• Potential for national travel to support regional clients.
• Provide telehealth-based dysphagia and/or communication interventions.
• Liaise with Plena's national team of Speech Pathologists.
• Advocate for clients with communication difficulties to access services.
• Collaborate with staff, coordinators and colleagues to meet care needs.
• Provide consultative and educational support to clients and families.
