Job summary

Pirtek is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to service our client base for hydraulic and industrial hose needs. The role suits hands-on tradespeople with mechanical qualifications or hose industry experience, offering a varied daily workload across multiple sites both indoors and outdoors.

Applicants should have a Qld driving licence, be able to work with minimal supervision, and be prepared for overtime plus a rotating 24-hour on-call roster.

Qualifications

• Engineering Trade Qualification or 1+ years Hose Industry Experience.
• High level of experience with hand tools and PPE.
• Open Qld Driving Licence with no restrictions (Light Truck preferred).
• Ability to complete work without direct supervision to a tradesperson type standard.
• Ability to think on your feet.
• Valid work visa or Australian work rights are required.

Responsibilities

• Service existing client base for hydraulic and industrial hose needs.
• Work both indoors and outdoors across various sites.
• Be available for overtime and 24 h on-call roster (1 week in 3).
• Receive a fully maintained company field service vehicle after qualifying period.

Job description

We seek to employ a willing, motivated, and enthusiastic Mobile Service Technician to service our existing client base for all their Hydraulic & Industrial Hose needs.
This position will suit "Hands On Tradespeople" with Mechanical Qualifications (or Non Tradesperson with Hose Industry Experience), that enjoy variety and challenges in their daily work processes. Specific experience in Hydraulics is an advantage but not essential as training is provided. The variety of work takes you to all areas of the Hydraulic and Industrial hose market place, whether they be indoors or outdoors with every job presenting new challenges. Our customer base covers, Manufacturing Plants, Industrial Plants, Construction, Mining, Petrochemical, Food Processing Industries, as well as End users. Availability for overtime as well as being on a 1 week in every 3 week rotating 24 hr on call roster are a pre-requisite and for this reason the applicant should be a resident of the Ipswich or near surrounding areas or be in the process of relocating prior to commencement. We offer a remuneration package incorporating above award hourly rates, penalty rates on overtime, On Call allowance, Tool allowance, and an opportunity to have an RDO every 3 weeks (After Qualifying Period). You will also have a fully maintained company field service vehicle provided to get you too and from work. (After qualifying period). Full induction, training, uniforms, including laundered overalls are also provided.
