Job summary

The Marandoo mine near Tom Price in Western Australia is operated by RioTinto, employing FIFO from Perth. This Permanent Supervisor – Mobile Equipment Maintenance role leads a maintenance team to safely execute site activities and meet short-term objectives.

Responsibilities include statutory supervision, safety culture, stakeholder collaboration, and efficient maintenance planning across large earthmoving equipment such as Komatsu, Hitachi and Caterpillar.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety for yourself and your team.
• In-depth knowledge of large-scale earthmoving equipment maintenance.
• Experience with Komatsu, Hitachi and Caterpillar (desirable).
• Leadership experience and ability to coach team members.
• Experience in maintenance or operations within mobile equipment environments (desirable).
• Current Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence (Manual).
• Statutory Position Legal Exam – Statutory Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Hold Statutory Supervisor role under WHS (Mines) Regulations.
• Foster and communicate a positive safety culture, promoting safety awareness and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance personnel.
• Organise and manage the execution of maintenance work performed.
• Manage scheduled and breakdown maintenance with the shift crew to complete required activities.
• Allocate and coordinate planned maintenance activities using the RioTinto workflow management principles.
