Job summary

Macmahon is seeking an experienced maintenance supervisor for FIFO roles across open-cut mining sites in Australia. Lead maintenance crews, coordinate planned and unplanned activities, and mentor trades to uplift skills.

You’ll work with contractors and internal stakeholders to meet safety and production targets in a dynamic mining environment. The role requires a trade certificate with 5+ years’ experience, WA S26 competency, a current manual C class license, and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a mine site environment.
• Australian recognised Trade Certificate with over 5 years' knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy mobile plant
• Strong understanding of performance coaching, team dynamics and conflict resolution
• Hold S26 competency under WA legislation (if not achieved, must be actively pursuing or willing and capable to complete)
• Current Manual C Class Drivers Licence
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP and/or Maintenance systems (desirable)
• Familiarity with Caterpillar, Hitachi and Komatsu Earthmoving equipment
• Excellent Leadership and people management skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance crews and coordinate planned, reactive, and shutdown activities
• Mentor trades and apprentices, contributing to upskilling initiatives
• Partner with contractors, OEMs and internal stakeholders to support operational goals
• Lead by example, work, promote and manage in accordance with all WHS legislation, standards, policies and procedures
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities leading to a safer workplace, increased productivity and increased efficiencies
