Computershare Australia is seeking an experienced Engineering Mobile Lead in Melbourne. You will provide technical leadership across our mobile applications, drive architecture and engineering best practices, and mentor engineers to build secure, scalable, and high‑quality mobile solutions used by our global customers.

You will collaborate with product, architecture and delivery teams to translate requirements into innovative mobile experiences, while advancing standards, testing, and deployment

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing mobile applications with React Native.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript and modern mobile frameworks.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and secure application development practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks and automated testing processes.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design and development of cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mobile engineers, promoting engineering excellence and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into innovative mobile solutions.
• Drive mobile application performance, scalability, security and reliability improvements.
• Establish and maintain development standards, coding practices and testing frameworks.
• Oversee CI/CD processes and support efficient application deployment and release management.
• Partner with backend engineering teams to deliver seamless API integrations and end-to-end customer experiences.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance platform capabilities.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis and ongoing application support activities.
• Contribute to strategic technology initiatives and digital transformation programs across the business.
