Job summary

Torus Group is seeking an Electrician to join our Planned Projects team, delivering electrical maintenance and construction across Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington. This mobile role requires flexibility to travel between sites and work to current regulations.

You will carry out rewires, upgrades and repairs, supervise apprentices, use IT systems to receive instructions and order materials, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation, including 17th/18th Edition.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification.
• CSCS card (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong experience in electrical maintenance and construction.
• Good customer care skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible approach to varied duties and changing priorities.
• Strong communication with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical work including rewires, upgrades, remedial repairs and installations in line with current legislation.
• Support trades to contribute to the “one job one visit” approach.
• Plan and organise work, ensuring efficient use of time, materials and equipment.
• Operate within scheduled appointment systems and liaise with customers.
• Supervise and support apprentices, trainees and other employees.
• Undertake diagnostic and pre‑measuring work to scope tasks accurately.
• Use IT systems to receive instructions, update job information and order materials.
• Drive company vehicles and maintain stock, tools and equipment.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to competency and development programmes.
• Work with Schedulers, Planners, CLOs and teams to ensure coordinated service delivery.
• Uphold high standards of customer care, safety, quality and performance.
