Job summary

BGIS Technical Trade Services is seeking a qualified Electrical Technician to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across Cardiff and surrounding region, working on commercial and industrial sites. You'll play a key role in ensuring electrical systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably with exceptional workmanship and customer service.

From day one, you'll be set up with a modern company vehicle, quality tools, and the support of an experienced team to help you deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology is essential.
• Qualified Supervisor's Licence is essential.
• White Card (General Construction Induction Card) required.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence essential.
• Experience in commercial maintenance, facilities management, or service-based electrical environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience mentoring apprentices is highly regarded.
• Full working rights in Australia essential.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive electrical maintenance and repairs
• Maintenance and testing of emergency lighting systems
• Fault finding and rectification of electrical systems and switchboards
• Completing work orders and maintenance documentation accurately and on time
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
• Assisting with the mentoring and development of apprentices
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant standards and compliance requirements
• Participating in an on-call roster as required
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining strong customer relationships
