Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic / Field Service Technician for a hands-on workshop and field-based role in Perth. You’ll service, maintain and repair diesel equipment, with a company van and fuel card provided.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience as a qualified mechanic in workshop, field service, plant, transport, truck, forklift or equipment environment.
• Strong diesel engine diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Professional approach when dealing directly with customers.
• Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel & hydraulic equipment.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnosing and fault-finding diesel engines, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs onsite and in the workshop.
• Completing inspections and preparing equipment for hire.
• Conducting routine maintenance and safety inspections.
• Carrying out breakdown response and troubleshooting.
• Communicating directly with customers and providing professional onsite service.
• Supporting general workshop duties and keeping equipment maintained to a high standard.
• Ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable and ready for customers.
