Morson Edge Australia in Sydney is seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic / Field Service Technician to service, maintain and repair heavy plant and equipment across workshop and field settings. This permanent role offers a base salary with a company vehicle and travel to customer sites.

This position requires hands-on fault-finding, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, and a mix of workshop and field service duties. Travel interstate is supported with expenses covered.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant, Heavy Diesel, Engineering or related mechanical trade.
• Experience servicing and repairing plant and heavy machinery.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Understanding of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel interstate periodically.

Responsabilités

• Carrying out scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment.
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Responding to breakdowns and completing repairs onsite and in the workshop.
• Inspecting equipment to identify faults and ensure safe operation.
• Performing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Traveling to customer sites for servicing and repairs.
• Maintaining accurate service records and high-quality workmanship.
