Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic with Plant or Truck experience to join our Toowoomba workshop and field service team. You'll service, repair and maintain diesel and hydraulic equipment across multiple sites while providing hands-on support to customers.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a company van and fuel card, overtime opportunities, and full training to develop into a skilled Field Service/Diesel Technician.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Diesel, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, Forklift or a related mechanical trade.
• Previous experience as a qualified mechanic in workshop, field service, plant, transport, truck, forklift or equipment environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills.
• Current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel & hydraulic equipment.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnosing and fault-finding diesel engines, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs onsite and in the workshop.
• Completing inspections and preparing equipment for hire.
• Conducting routine maintenance and safety inspections.
• Carrying out breakdown response and troubleshooting.
• Communicating directly with customers and providing onsite service.
• Supporting general workshop duties and keeping equipment maintained to a high standard.
• Ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable and ready for customers.
