Job summary

Morson Edge Australia in Melbourne is seeking a qualified Mobile Diesel Mechanic for a hands-on role in a mixed workshop and field service environment. You will service, maintain and repair diesel and hydraulic equipment across construction, logistics and warehousing sectors.

The position offers a permanent, full-time career with a company van, fuel card, overtime, and full training provided. Ideal candidates will have a Certificate III in Diesel or related trade and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Diesel or a related mechanical trade.
• Experience as a qualified mechanic in workshop or field service.
• Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel & hydraulic equipment.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnosing and fault-finding diesel engines, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs onsite and in the workshop.
• Completing inspections and preparing equipment for hire.
• Conducting routine maintenance and safety inspections.
• Carrying out breakdown response and troubleshooting.
• Communicating directly with customers and providing professional onsite service.
• Supporting general workshop duties and keeping equipment maintained to a high standard.
• Ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable and ready for customers.
