Talent in Canberra, Australia, is seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to lead the design, build and delivery of large-scale React Native applications for iOS and Android, with TypeScript and exposure to native layers.

You'll work in an Agile team across the full mobile SDLC, focusing on security, accessibility and maintainability, with hybrid work options and three days in the office per week.

Take on a senior, hands‑on mobile development role working across the design, build, release and ongoing improvement of large-scale applications used in a complex digital environment.

You’ll work primarily with React Native and TypeScript across iOS and Android, with the opportunity to get deeper into the native layer using Kotlin, Java, Swift and Objective‑C. The role spans the broader mobile development lifecycle, from UI implementation and API integration through to testing, accessibility and release.

The Role

As a Senior Mobile Developer, you’ll work within an Agile delivery team to build secure, accessible and maintainable mobile applications and integrations.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Designing, building, deploying and supporting React Native applications across iOS and Android
• Bridging React Native with the native mobile layer, including Kotlin, Java, Swift and Objective‑C
• Integrating mobile applications with REST, GraphQL, authentication and performance/metrics APIs
• Working with UI/UX and QA teams across accessibility, automated testing and end‑to‑end quality
• Participating in code reviews and contributing across technical design, development, deployment and long‑term maintenance

About You

• Extensive React Native and TypeScript experience across both iOS and Android
• Strong experience bridging React Native to native iOS/Android code
• Experience with Expo and Expo Modules would be particularly valuable
• Strong understanding of mobile accessibility, including WCAG 2.1 and Apple/Google accessibility standards
• Experience with automated unit, component, integration and functional testing
• Strong experience integrating with REST and GraphQL APIs

Experience with GitHub CI/CD, Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault, Docker, Kubernetes, Golang or backend TypeScript/JavaScript would also be highly regarded.
