Job summary

CareCone Group is seeking a senior networks project manager in Sydney to lead complex mobility core initiatives across 4G/5G core networks. You will drive ideation through delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

The role demands deep expertise with mobile core networks and relationships with operators and vendors in Australia, with responsibility for governance, documentation and contract sign‑offs.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in networks project management.
• Experience with 3G/4G/5G core networks and operators in Australia.
• Experience with vendors Ericsson, Nokia and Huawei in delivery programs.

Responsibilities

• Focus on completing projects efficiently and promptly.
• Manage several projects concurrently and lead meetings.
• Coordinate staff and internal resources across stakeholders.
• Oversee project documentation and provide executive reports.
• Design, sign off contracts, and optimize processes where needed.

Job description

At least 10 to 15 years of experience in Networks project management Specifically on Ericsson/Nokia Mobile 3G/4G/5G core working with Operators like Optus (preferred) or other operators in Australia like TPG/Telstra and also with vendors like Ericsson/ Nokia/ Huawei.

This role will work in the Customer's Network Engineering group, which is responsible for the core of the Customer's Existing Network, including 4G/5G packet, data & voice core, messaging /signalling services, real time services, cloud infrastructure.

This role is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion.

This role is a full time senior project manager role and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several of the Customer's projects simultaneously.
