Job summary

Bridge IT Engineering is seeking a Senior Mobile Application Developer to join a Federal Government digital program, delivering cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android.

You will design, develop, deploy and support high-profile mobile services, working in an Agile delivery team with BA, QA and UI/UX professionals, and you must be able to obtain NV1 security clearance. Hybrid work with Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney locations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing, deploying and supporting mobile apps for iOS and Android.
• Strong hands-on React Native and TypeScript with modern tooling experience.
• Experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs with mobile apps.
• Proven ability to translate UI/UX designs into high-quality components.
• Demonstrated automated testing across unit, component and integration levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and support mobile applications across iOS and Android.
• Collaborate with BA, QA, UI/UX and other tech teams in an Agile environment.
• Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality mobile components.
• Contribute to full development lifecycle and code reviews.
• Ensure accessibility and performance best practices (WCAG 2.1).

Bridge IT is seeking Senior Mobile Application Developers to join a major Federal Government digital program, working on high-profile mobile applications and digital services used across Australia.

This is a great opportunity for experienced React Native Developers who enjoy working across complex, large-scale applications and want to contribute to meaningful digital services.

The Role:

Working within an established digital delivery team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying and supporting mobile applications across iOS and Android. You’ll work closely with developers, Business Analysts, QA, UI/UX designers and other technical teams in an Agile environment, contributing across the full development lifecycle.

We’re looking for strong experience in:

• React Native & TypeScript across Android and iOS


• Expo and ideally Expo Modules


• Working with large and complex mobile codebases


• REST and GraphQL API integrations


• Mobile accessibility including WCAG 2.1, Apple and Google accessibility standards


• Automated unit, component, integration and functional testing


• Translating UI/UX designs into high-quality mobile components


• Experience with GitHub CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault, Golang or AI-assisted/spec-driven development would also be highly regarded.
