Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking an MLOps Field Engineer based in Australia to design and implement AI/ML architectures using open source technologies, Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms. The role blends technical consulting, architecture, hands-on implementation, and customer engagement across distributed environments.

You will work on large-scale ML challenges, hybrid cloud setups, and real-time analytics, collaborating with sales, product, and enterprise customers while traveling up to 30% of time.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in MLOps, data engineering, big data, cloud infrastructure, or deployment of ML/analytics solutions.
• Practical experience with Linux, virtualization, containers, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect AI/ML, MLOps, data engineering, and cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with workloads.
• Work across the Linux stack including networking, storage, containers, applications, and infrastructure.
• Architect and deploy solutions using Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Spark, and related OSS.
• Deliver solutions across on-premises and major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and recommend open source solutions.
• Deploy, test, troubleshoot, and validate solutions before handing to support.
• Develop infrastructure automation and Kubernetes capabilities using Python and related tech.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, workshops, and training on cloud/Linux/AI/OSS.
• Collaborate with sales to support engagements and opportunities.
• Provide feedback to product/engineering and influence roadmaps.
• Share knowledge across a global engineering community.
• Travel internationally up to 30% for engagements/events.
