The University of Western Australia is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Maintenance Lead to drive end-to-end delivery of minor works, refurbishment, and maintenance-related capital projects across its campuses. • Current registered trade certificate or licence in Electrical, Plumbing, Building, Carpentry or similar.
• Substantial relevant maintenance experience in project management.
• High-level supervisory and team leadership experience, including leading staff and managing outsourced contractors.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current technical/trade regulations.

About the area

Campus Management is responsible for the planning, development, management and operation of the University's physical estate and infrastructure. The portfolio delivers integrated property, facilities, asset management, capital works and operational services that support UWA's teaching, research and community objectives.

Within Campus Management, the Infrastructure Maintenance team is responsible for ensuring the ongoing performance, safety and sustainability of the University's built environment. The team manages maintenance programs, infrastructure upgrades, minor capital works and refurbishment projects across UWA's campuses and facilities.

About the opportunity

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of minor works, refurbishment, building fit-out and maintenance-related capital projects, from planning and procurement through to completion and handover.
• Provide technical leadership and project management expertise, across minor works, building services, infrastructure upgrades, refurbishment and maintenance-related capital projects, managing budgets, schedules, contractors, consultants and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team while driving quality, compliance, continuous improvement, workplace safety, asset lifecycle planning and exceptional customer service across the University's facilities portfolio.

About you

• Current registered trade certificate or licence in Electrical, Plumbing, Building, Carpentry or similar.
• Substantial relevant maintenance experience in project management.
• High-level supervisory and team leadership experience, including leading staff and managing outsourced contractors and their works.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current technical/trade regulations.
• Excellent organisational, communications and consultation skills, including the ability to plan work schedules, set priorities and meet strict deadlines while leading a team.
