Job summary

Humanised Group is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support a key mining client in Central Queensland. The role combines hands-on management of server, cloud and network infrastructure with an L2 focus and a clear path toward L3.

The roster is 1 week onsite at the mine and 1 week working from home, with drive‑in/drive‑out options from Blackwater, Emerald, Mackay or surrounding areas. Experienced mining exposure and formal safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

Experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role in mining or heavy industry.
Mining experience is required and knowledge of mine-site safety procedures.
Proven ability to manage server, virtualization and cloud infrastructure.
Strong networking and backup/disaster recovery skills.
Ability to travel to mine sites and pass pre-employment medical tests.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain server, virtualization and cloud infrastructure.
Administer Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP and Microsoft Cloud Services.
Support networking gear including switches, firewalls and VPNs.
Troubleshoot L2/L3 escalations and perform root-cause analysis.
Assist infrastructure projects, migrations and lifecycle replacements.
Manage backups, DR and business continuity.
Collaborate with onsite technicians and clients, including remote support during WFH weeks.
