DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mining Subject Matter Expert to lead transformation initiatives and drive digital, AI and technology solutions across the mining value chain. You will engage senior stakeholders, run executive workshops and collaborate with business, IT and delivery teams from planning through implementation, while identifying high-value AI and GenAI opportunities.

This role requires field-based work with travel to remote mining sites.

Formación

• 15+ years’ experience in mining and metals as a domain/functional consultant or industry practitioner.
• Expertise across mine planning, production, processing, safety, logistics, fleet management, automation, and process control.
• Experience with IoT, Industry 4.0, AI/GenAI or ESG within mining and metals.
• Willingness to travel to remote mining sites.
• TOGAF certification, OSDU knowledge, design-thinking expertise, Agile/SDLC experience, or other relevant certifications would be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

Market Maker & Executive Engagement

Engage with senior stakeholders, lead workshops and collaborate across teams to deliver technology-led solutions.

Business/Functional Expertise

• Lead major digital transformation engagements as a Mining SME or domain leader.
• Partner with business, IT, and delivery teams from planning through implementation.
• Facilitate executive workshops and identify high-value AI and GenAI opportunities.
• Define business requirements, process models, use cases, and functional solutions.

Sales Pursuits, Thought Leadership and Unit Initiatives

• Support sales pursuits, proposals, and go-to-market initiatives.
• Contribute to thought leadership, industry solutions and project documentation.

Essential Requirements

• 15+ years’ experience in mining and metals as a domain/functional consultant or industry practitioner.
• Strong expertise across mining functions such as mine planning, production, processing, safety, logistics, fleet management, automation, and process control.
• Experience with IoT, Industry 4.0, AI/GenAI or ESG within mining and metals.
• Ability to work in field-based environments and travel to remote mining sites.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining, Geoscience, Processing, Metallurgy or related discipline.

TOGAF certification, OSDU knowledge, design-thinking expertise, Agile/SDLC experience, global exposure, or other relevant certifications would be highly regarded.
