Job summary

Ausenco, a global engineering and project delivery firm, is seeking a Senior Planner to join the Project Execution Team for the Newmont STSFX project in South Brisbane. You will develop and maintain integrated schedules, forecast progress and support multi-discipline interfaces to ensure on-time delivery.

You will collaborate with project managers, discipline leads and contractors, perform critical path analysis, and provide clear schedule reporting and insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in project planning, scheduling and project controls within major capital projects, mining, minerals processing, resources or consulting engineering environments.
• Demonstrated experience developing, managing and maintaining execution schedules across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline is highly regarded.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Sound understanding of project execution methodologies and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces, including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Process, Electrical and Controls.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse project performance, identify schedule risks and opportunities, and provide practical recommendations to Project Managers and Project Leadership Teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across client, contractor and project delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage integrated execution schedules for the Newmont STSFX Project, aligning across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Establish and maintain detailed schedules reflecting scope, resources, milestones and delivery priorities.
• Monitor schedule performance, track baselines, identify risks and opportunities.
• Conduct critical path analysis, schedule health checks, progress validation, look-ahead planning and recovery planning.
• Support management of changes by assessing schedule impacts and incorporating approved scope variations.
