Job summary

Harmony Australasia is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, deliver and commission mining projects across mine infrastructure, processing plants, civil works and underground operations. You will work with operations teams, contractors and stakeholders to meet technical, safety, environmental and commercial requirements.

Reporting to the Projects Superintendent, the role operates on an 8/6 roster and requires a degree in engineering, mining project experience, and strong

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related).
• Experience in mining, construction, heavy industry, or resources projects.
• Strong understanding of project management principles.
• Knowledge of mining safety regulations and site procedures.
• Proficiency with scheduling/reporting tools (MS Project, Primavera).

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of engineering projects and project execution.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including design, procurement and construction.
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings and specifications.
• Monitor progress with cost, schedule and risk reporting.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Manage relationships with clients, contractors and vendors.
