Job summary

Maspro Engineering is seeking a hands-on Fitter at our Wetherill Park facility to assemble and fit hydraulic cylinders and mining components. You will read drawings and specifications, follow procedures, and ensure safe, high-quality production.

You will work with hydraulic presses, torque wrenches and a range of tools, maintaining a clean workspace and contributing to a collaborative team environment focused on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on workshop experience with fitting and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or workshop drawings.
• Safe work practices with attention to quality and detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit hydraulic cylinders and other mining components from drawings.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, specifications and job requirements.
• Inspect work at various stages to ensure quality standards are met.
• Use hydraulic presses, torque wrenches, power tools and hand tools.
• Identify faults or damaged components and raise them as needed.
• Complete job sheets, quality checks and production records.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisor and teammates to keep production moving.
• Speak up with ideas for better, safer, or more efficient processes.
