Sharp & Carter are partnering with a respected ASX-listed miner to appoint a Financial Accountant for a temp-to-perm role based in Perth CBD. You will join an established finance team, contributing to monthly reporting, statutory compliance, and the preparation of financial statements while supporting the business with timely information.

The role offers exposure to a complex corporate environment, month-end closures, and opportunities to improve financial processes within the mining sector.

Qualifications

• Qualified accounting designation (CA/CPA) or working towards it.
• Experience in financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
• Experience in mining/resources or ASX-listed environments considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with statutory reporting and financial statement prep.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and regulations.
• Manage general ledger activities, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Support audit activities with external auditors.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
