Job summary

Clarity Partners is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Australian gold mining operations based in Perth. You will work with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and robust accounting processes.

This role presents an opportunity to move from professional services into industry, with exposure to month-end, statutory reporting and ERP systems within a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion.
• Demonstrated experience in financial accounting, including month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting and close processes.
• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support statutory reporting, audit requirements and relevant tax compliance activities.
• Investigate discrepancies and financial variances, providing clear and accurate information to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes, reporting systems and internal controls.
• Provide general accounting support to the wider finance team as required.
