Ora Banda Mining in Western Australia seeks a Mining Engineer - Underground to support mine design, scheduling and short-term planning. You will assist with ventilation surveys, drill & blast designs, and cost review against budgets in a dynamic growth phase.

The role requires a tertiary Mining Engineering qualification and at least 2 years’ underground experience, with strong teamwork and regulatory knowledge. WA C-class license is desirable and site-based work applies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years' experience in underground mining operations.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Skilled in CAD software and drill & blast design.

Responsabilités

• Undertake production scheduling activities
• Assist with ventilation surveys
• Undertake shortterm planning activities
• Develop drill and blast designs
• Examine mining methods and equipment to investigate opportunities to improve
• Monitor day to day mining operations against agreed plans and quality control standards
• Scope, create and implement site instructions as required
• Support the review of operating costs against budget
• Project work as required

The role

Applications are sought for the position of Mining Engineer - Underground.

The responsibilities of this role will be:

About you

To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline
• 2+ years’ experience in underground mining operations
• Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
• Skilled in computer aided design software, and proficient in creating drill & blast designs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Current WA C class driver’s licence.
• Underground time completed (highly desirable - not essential)
