Peabody is seeking a Mining Engineer for the Wilpinjong Mine in New South Wales. You will be responsible for short-term Load & Haul scheduling and design, ensuring safe, efficient execution of daily and weekly mine plans aligned with longer-term strategies.

The role requires a Mining Engineering degree, strong communication skills, and experience with mine planning software (Vulcan exposure is advantageous).

Qualificações

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with mine planning software and design tools.
• Experience in open cut coal mining environments.

Responsabilidades

• Actively promote site safety, environmental, health and quality of mining activities.
• Develop and maintain short-term (daily to weekly) Load & Haul schedules to meet production targets.
• Design and optimize haul roads, dump locations, and loading areas using mine planning software.
• Collaborate with operations, drill & blast, and geology teams to ensure alignment of plans and execution.
• Monitor and adjust schedules based on operational feedback, equipment availability, and changing conditions.
• Conduct regular pit inspections to validate designs and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Provide technical support to supervisors and operators regarding plan implementation and design intent.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in mine planning and operational efficiency.
