Genesis Minerals Limited is seeking a Mining Engineer - Planning for its Leonora operations in WA. The role supports the Technical Services Team, reporting to the Senior Mine Planning Engineer, to ensure safe, sustainable production through effective design and planning.

The position offers an 8/6 roster, with FIFO from Perth to Leonora or DIDO, or residential options in Leonora. A strong focus on planning accuracy, compliance and capital project support is required.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• Sound demonstrated experience in the mining industry, with appropriate experience in underground mining.
• Experience using Deswik software.
• Sound knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to mining.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate planning guidance for production schedules.
• Maintain current mine designs using up-to-date geological data and ensure compliance with planning processes.
• Develop short- to medium-term mine plans and scheduling projects.
• Monitor mining performance and identify opportunities to improve output.

Based at our Gwalia, underground operations and reporting to the Senior Mine Planning Engineer you will ensure safe sustainable production from the Leonora Operations through the successful design, planning and execution of the mine planning functions. This is a permanent opportunity, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
