Aurelia Metals Limited is seeking a Mining Engineer for Mid-Term Planning at Peak Mine, Cobar NSW. You will develop designs and schedules for underground extraction, balancing production needs with safety and practical constraints, working with operations, geology, maintenance and ventilation teams.
The role emphasizes collaboration across Technical Services and Operations, with emphasis on safe, practical and efficient mining outcomes.
Aurelia Metals Limited is an ASX-listed, Australian-owned gold and base metals company based in NSW. We operate the Peak and Federation underground mines and are progressing the Great Cobar Project, a high-grade copper development near Peak. We are proud to be a WORK180 endorsed employer, with inclusion, safety, and our Values at the heart of everything we do. With one of the most prospective land positions in the Cobar Basin, we are unlocking value through discovery, development, and growth. The Great Cobar Project, with an eight-year mine plan and strong exploration upside, will drive the next generation of growth at Aurelia and create diverse career pathways for those wanting to be part of a high-performance, forward-thinking culture.
Peak is a mature underground gold mine with a long operating history, which means the engineering challenges are real, varied and highly influential. As our Mining Engineer responsible for the Mid-Term Planning, you'll be developing mine designs and schedules that balance production requirements with practical underground constraints. You'll work closely with operations, geology, maintenance and ventilation teams to determine how and when the orebody is extracted, ensuring plans are achievable, safe and aligned with business objectives. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys understanding the bigger picture, working collaboratively across disciplines and seeing their planning work translated into operational outcomes underground.
