Job summary

Whitehouse Group Qld Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our Blackwater operations in Queensland. This on‑site, full‑time role focuses on leading electrical maintenance in the mining and resources sector, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance with industry standards.

You will plan and supervise maintenance, mentor a diverse team and liaise with management to coordinate critical asset care.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical trade qualification (Certificate III or higher) in Electrotechnology.
• Current electrical license appropriate to the role (e.g., Electrician).
• Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience, ideally in mining/resources.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and industrial control equipment.
• Excellent understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations (AS/NZS 3000).
• Competency in hazard identification and risk management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead a diverse team.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments with multiple priorities.
• Experience with CMMS is advantageous.
• Valid Driver's license; Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance tradespeople and trainees.
• Plan, schedule and oversee electrical maintenance activities and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations and policies.
• Monitor and maintain electrical equipment including switchgear and motors.
• Conduct daily pre-starts and site safety briefings.
• Investigate faults and coordinate troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with management on system status and planned work.
• Mentor and develop electrical staff with on‑the‑job training.
• Ensure incident reporting and hazard management procedures are followed.
