Job summary
Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD is seeking an experienced HV Electrician to join the Maintenance team at the Dawson Mine. You will ensure the availability and reliability of mining equipment and execute electrical maintenance to meet production targets, while complying with safety and environmental requirements.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and maintain records.
Qualifications
- QLD Electrical License and relevant Electrical Trade Certification.
- Manual C-Class Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Experience with PLC controlled equipment and systems.
- HV Switching qualification is desirable.
- Experience with Komatsu 830E/930E is highly regarded.
- Basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems desirable.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance through inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and repairs of heavy mobile equipment.
- Provide maintenance expertise to minimise downtime of mining equipment.
- Follow task instructions and procedures for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain housekeeping and accurate record keeping at the worksite.
- Electrical inspection of open-cut equipment and fixed plant electrical systems.
- Diagnose faults and effect repairs to electrical equipment and field devices.
- Testing and tagging of electrical equipment/appliances.
- Perform electrical isolations/lockouts as per SHMS procedures.
- Ensure compliance with statutory inspections and safety requirements.
