Job summary

Weir in Australia seeks a Product Specialist for Mining Attachments to deliver technical guidance and install solid product strategies across surface and underground tools. The role will drive specifications, support field trials, and assist with tender submissions.

You will partner with sales and engineering teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs and portfolio goals while maintaining high safety and quality standards. This hybrid role requires site travel and regional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years' experience in mining equipment operation or modelling, with strong technical expertise in GET products.
• Proven ability to deliver technical training and communicate effectively with both senior stakeholders and frontline personnel.

Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise & Support: provide daily technical guidance, application engineering, equipment sizing, and product selection to meet customer requirements.
• Product Management & Development: own product specifications, technical docs, and sales support materials; collaborate on launches and field trials.
• Proposal & Tender Support: prepare technical and commercial quotations, sizing calculations, and tender submissions.
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: liaise between sales, engineering, product management and customers; conduct site visits and training.
