Job summary

Weir, a global leader in mining technology, is seeking a Product Specialist for Mining Attachments in Lytton, QLD, AU. This hybrid role involves acting as the primary technical resource for Ground Engaging Tools, providing engineering guidance, and supporting product lifecycle activities.

Travel to mining sites will be required to engage customers and validate requirements. You will own specifications, develop quotations, and collaborate with global teams on launches and trials while delivering

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years' experience in mining equipment operation or modelling.
Proven ability to deliver technical training and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and frontline personnel.
Proficiency with MS Office, CRM systems (ideally Salesforce), PLM systems (ideally Agile), Power BI (navigation), and MS Project.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary technical resource for the application of Surface and Underground Mining Attachments products including GET.
Own and maintain product specifications, technical documentation, and sales support materials; collaborate on product launches and field trials.
Prepare technical and commercial quotations, proposals, and tender submissions; develop sizing calculations and costing models.
Serve as the liaison between sales, engineering, product management, and customers; conduct site visits and deliver trainings.
