Job summary

Glencore Australia is seeking competent excavator and multi-skilled operators for Collinsville Open Cut in Queensland. You will operate heavy earthmoving equipment safely to meet production targets and perform a range of mining tasks as the site evolves into a truck-and-shovel terrace operation.

Permanent full-time roles on a 7/7 day–night roster with camp accommodation and meals provided. Strong team players with safety focus and good communication are encouraged to apply.

Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation.

We are currently looking for competent and experienced excavator and multi-skilled operators to fill multiple positions across our open cut site.

Reporting to the OCE, you will:

• Provide safe and efficient operation of heavy earthmoving equipment to meet mine production and organisational targets.
• Be comfortable performing the full range of mining tasks in a dynamic and changing environment with a focus on continuous improvement.

About you:

• Equipment experience – Excavator (>200T), Dozer, Grader, Loader, Water Truck and/or Haul Truck Operator.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of and commitment to risk management and safe work practices.
• Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
