Job summary
Ironbark No 1 mine in Queensland’s Bowen Basin seeks a Superintendent of the site-based Technical Services team to shape performance through mine planning, technical excellence and operational execution. You will lead a diverse team, safeguard safety standards and drive improvements across surveying, ventilation, mine planning and development while engaging with site personnel and the broader Argo Complex.
The role offers a 5/2/4/3 roster, FIFO options, inclusive accommodation and attractive
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a similar coal mining leadership role.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Experience leading internal and contractor teams.
- Experience overseeing system reviews and improvement initiatives.
- Budget and cost control experience.
- Decisive with strong accountability.
- Ability to build relationships and maintain resilience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee site-based technical services team.
- Coordinate mine planning, design, scheduling, and development.
- Engage with site personnel on operational, technical and safety matters.
- Lead optimisation and process improvement with operations.
- Report to Site leadership and work with SSE GM.
