The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action seeks a Manager of Rehabilitation Strategy and Transition to lead the Victorian Government’s initiatives for mine rehabilitation, including the Latrobe Valley Regional Rehabilitation Strategy. You will guide strategy delivery, coordinate cross‑government action and drive safe, sustainable land use during regional transition.

With a strong background in earth or environmental science and public policy, you will provide evidence‑based advice

Qualificações

• Mandatory tertiary qualification in earth or environmental science or related field.
• Sound understanding of mine rehabilitation risks and opportunities.
• Strong communication skills with ability to negotiate at senior levels in public and private sectors.
• Experience in mine rehabilitation, land use transition, regional development or public policy is well regarded.

Responsabilidades

• Lead strategic oversight and delivery of mine rehabilitation initiatives including the Latrobe Valley Regional Rehabilitation Strategy (LVRRS).
• Provide evidence-based advice to executives, governance forums and ministers on complex policy, regulatory and implementation matters.
• Lead a small team and manage research partnerships to strengthen the evidence base and support informed decision-making.
