Job summary

Stanmore Resources Limited is seeking a Mining Electrician for our South Walker Creek site in Queensland. The role focuses on maintaining Dragline and CHPP equipment, executing the maintenance plan and coordinating with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operations.

You will liaise with planners, schedulers and contracting partners, adapting to changing conditions and proving a proactive approach to safety and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified with 2 years post-trade experience.
• 12 months experience in mining or similar environment.
• Proven commitment to wellbeing and safety.
• Adaptability to changing work conditions and mining techniques.
• Eagerness to learn and broaden skills.
• Proactive approach to waste reduction and cost effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Improve fleet performance through quality maintenance practices.

• Collaborate with Maintenance team to define scope of work, isolation requirements and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Planners & Schedulers to keep the schedule updated during execution.
• Liaise with contracting partners for various activities.

We are currently seeking a Mining Electrician to join our team in our Maintenance Department at South Walker Creek.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Improving fleet performance through quality maintenance practices
• Executing the maintenance plan
• Liaising with the wider Maintenance team to develop, validate and challenge the scope of work, including preparation requirements, isolation requirements and maintenance activities
• Liaising with the Planners & Schedulers to ensure schedule is updated during execution to reflect performance against plan
• Liaising with contracting partners for various activities

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Technician maintaining Dragline & CHPP equipment.
• Trade qualified with 2 years post trade experience and 12 months experience in a mining or similar environment.
• Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way.
• Adaptability to operate to changing work conditions and required mining techniques.
• An eagerness to learn and motivation to broaden your skills.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach and a positive outlook to waste reduction and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications required

• Electrical Trade Qualified (QLD)
• HV Switching Ticket
• QLD Drivers Licence
• Sound computer skills, i.e. microsoft suite of products
