You will process grains, manage warehousing and run the mill press to mix, batch, grind and press ingredients to exact formulations and deadlines.

Qualifications

• High level of attention to detail.
• Experience in plant control automation (e.g. ProBatch).
• Understanding of milling equipment including batching, grinding, mixing and pressing.
• Experience with weighbridge operation.
• Ability to problem solve and fault find.
• Able to work as part of a team and display leadership qualities.
• Punctual, reliable and motivated to learn and excel.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends and nights when required.
• Experience in stock feed milling is advantageous.
• Mechanical, hydraulic or electrical background is advantageous.
• Have a High Risk (Forklift) licence.

Irwin Stockfeeds is a family-owned industry leader specialising in manufacturing quality feed supplements for primary producers across Victoria.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced Mill Hand/Mill Press Operator to join our growing team at one of the most modern and up to date automated plants in the country. This is a full-time permanent position located at our Lang Lang Stockfeed Mill.

You will be responsible for processing incoming grains, warehousing, operating mill press in order to mix, batch, grind and press ingredients to specified formulations, quality guidelines, and time restraints to ensure we are able to service our clients.

KEY CRITERIA & SKILLS

To be eligible for this position you will:

• have a high level of attention to detail
• have experience in plant control automation (e.g. ProBatch)
• have an understanding of milling equipment including batching, grinding, mixing and pressing
• have experience with weighbridge operation
• have the ability to problem solve and fault find
• be able to work as part of a team and display leadership qualities
• be punctual, reliable and motivated to learn and excel
• be flexible and able to work overtime including weekends and nights when required
• Experience in stock feed milling a distinct advantage
