Job summary

Baiada Poultry is seeking a Mill Hand / Mill Cleaner to support clean, safe production across intake, meal and grain storage areas. You will perform general duties with minimal supervision within established processes and contribute to high hygiene and bio-security standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure duties are carried out in a manner which will not harm the environment and follow any environmental procedures established through the company's Environmental Management System
• Complete cleaning activities as directed by the Shift Miller / Production Manager in accordance with Company procedures to meet the required cleaning standard
• Ensure cleaning duties are completed in line with Quality System, HACCP, GMP and Safety requirements
• Complete cleaning following the set schedule of cleaning tasks and maintain up to date and relevant records
• Work with the Management team to understand and monitor set KPI's to meet efficient cleaning targets
• Identify and elevate any opportunities for making improvements that will maximise the cleanliness of the site
• Participate in Safety Walks
• Maintain cleaning information and records to meet the requirements of Baiada Standards and Systems
• Complete cleaning of intake, meal and grain storage areas
• Participate in training when required.

About the role

A Mill Hand / Mill Cleaner undertakes general duties working under minimal guidance and autonomously within established processes and systems. The role involves applying depth of knowledge, exercising a range of skills, and working in varied contexts.

Key responsibilities

Ensure duties are carried out in a manner which will not harm the environment and follow any environmental procedures established through the company's Environmental Management System
