Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) invites applications for a Part Time, 1 Year Fixed Term Postgraduate Midwifery program in 2027. The role supports practice for currently registered nurses in a work-integrated learning model with rotations across maternity services.

The program is designed to maximise clinical learning, with online study and face-to-face tutorials, offering potential for ongoing employment as a full-time equivalent allows.

Qualifications

• Currently practising Registered Nurses seeking postgraduate midwifery study.
• Work-integrated learning model combining online study and face-to-face classes.
• Rotations may include birth suite, special care nursery, postnatal ward, midwifery group practice, antenatal, domiciliary and lactation clinics.

Responsibilities

• Participate in postgraduate midwifery program as part of NHW.
• Engage in rotations and clinical supervision while completing online and in-person components.
• Apply learned knowledge to practice within NHW clinical settings.
