Job summary

The Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick, is part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. It seeks a Midwifery Co‑Director to provide visionary leadership to the Maternity Division and deliver contemporary models of care for women, babies and families.

Registered Midwife with NMBA and postgraduate qualifications are required, with senior leadership and financial management experience in an acute maternity setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
• Postgraduate qualifications or working towards and/or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated senior leadership experience in an acute maternity service with operational management expertise
• Sound knowledge of contemporary clinical practice and models of care, with leadership skills
• Experience in financial management, including cost centre management and staffing profiles
• Excellent written and verbal communication, mediation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Experience leading teams to implement new models of care and project management

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to the Maternity Division as Midwifery Co‑Director
• Ensure highest standards of care for women, babies and families and promote innovative care models
• Accountable for governance, divisional planning and allocation of maternity resources
• Drive multidisciplinary collaboration and professional development opportunities
• Lead strategic initiatives and clinical governance aligned with NSW Health CORE values
