Qualifications

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration).
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education certificate.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning.
• Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in St Patrick's Professional Learning Community and work closely with colleagues
• Display a sound understanding of evidence based Literacy programs and contemporary teaching approaches to Mathematics
• Demonstrate knowledge about explicit teaching and structured literacy
• Monitor and assess learners using data to plan for future success
• Understand how learners learn and how best to meet their needs
• Foster a safe and challenging learning environment that truly makes a difference for each student
• Supportive, collaborative and inclusive school community; Region living at its best with strong connections to community (20 minutes drive to Ballarat CBD)
