Job summary

Setup4 is hiring a Melbourne‑based Microsoft Fabric & Power Platform Consultant to design, build, and deploy Power Platform and Fabric solutions for education, non‑profit, healthcare, and commercial clients.

You will work across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI and Fabric data services, delivering scalable analytics and automation on top of Azure.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience developing Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
• Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.
• Good understanding of data modelling and relational databases.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Lakehouse or modern analytics platforms.
• Exposure to Azure services such as Functions, Logic Apps, App Services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Power Platform solutions including apps, automations, and Dataverse models.
• Develop analytics and reporting using Power BI and Fabric for data‑driven decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

Power Platform Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including:
• Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven)
• Power Automate
• Dataverse
• Power Pages
• Power BI
• Build enterprise‑grade automation solutions using Power Automate, including approval workflows, integrations, scheduled processes, and business process automation.
• Develop custom connectors and integrations with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Dynamics 365, Azure services, and third‑party applications.
• Create intuitive user experiences and business applications that improve operational efficiency and productivity.
• Build reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI to support data‑driven decision-making.

Microsoft Fabric & Data Analytics

• Design, develop and deploy analytics and reporting solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
• Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation and orchestration pipelines using Fabric Data Factory and Dataflows Gen2.
• Develop and optimise Lakehouse, Warehouse and OneLake architectures.
• Create semantic models, measures and reporting datasets to support Power BI reporting and analytics.
• Build enterprise reporting solutions and executive dashboards using Fabric and Power BI.
• Develop data models that support operational reporting, business intelligence and self‑service analytics.
• Monitor and optimise Fabric capacity, performance and refresh processes.
• Work with clients to define reporting requirements, data governance standards and analytics strategies.
• Participate in Microsoft Fabric Proof of Concepts (PoC) and Proof of Value (PoV) engagements.
• Support data migration and modernisation projects from SQL Server, SharePoint, Dynamics 365 and other business systems into Microsoft Fabric.

• Build conversational agents and business process assistants using Copilot Studio.
• Integrate AI capabilities into business applications and workflows.
• Leverage Microsoft AI, Azure AI Services and Copilot technologies to improve productivity and business outcomes.
• Assist in identifying and implementing practical AI use cases for clients.

Governance & Delivery

• Apply Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) best practices across development and deployment activities.
• Manage source control and release processes using Azure DevOps and Git.
• Ensure solutions align with governance, security, compliance, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
• Support existing production environments through troubleshooting, optimisation, and continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Consulting

• Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective technical solutions.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and solution reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment guides.
• Contribute ideas that improve business systems, analytics platforms, processes, and delivery methodologies.
