Job summary

Gateway Search is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to lead design, migration, and ongoing management of enterprise Microsoft 365 solutions. This is a fully remote role across Australia, requiring deep expertise in Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams, with emphasis on security, compliance, and automation.

You will guide architecture decisions, mentor teams, and drive user adoption while delivering robust, scalable M365 implementations for large organisations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT infrastructure with enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 experience.
• At least 5 years focused on Microsoft 365 environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Teams.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, migration, and ongoing management of enterprise M365 solutions.
• Implement security policies and zero-trust architecture using Purview and Defender.
• Provide technical leadership and automate processes to improve platform performance.
• Collaborate with IT teams across Australia in a fully remote setup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture & Implementation: Lead the design, migration, and ongoing management of enterprise M365 solutions, with a focus on Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security policies using Microsoft Purview, Defender, and other tools to ensure a robust, zero-trust architecture.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert-level support, automate processes using PowerShell, and optimize M365 platform performance and user adoption.

Required Experience & Skills:
