Job summary

Minor Hotels' Avani Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager - MICE to grow our corporate, meetings, incentives, conferences and events business. Location flexibility allows onsite at the resort for Hunter Valley-based candidates, or Sydney-based candidates commuting monthly to maintain client relationships.

Hospitality sales experience in MICE or corporate market.
Proven ability to generate new business and grow key accounts.
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Drive corporate and MICE revenue growth through proactive sales activity.
Identify and secure new business opportunities.
Build strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners and industry partners.
Grow existing accounts and maximise repeat business.
Conduct client meetings, site inspections and familiarisation visits.
Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and secure group bookings and events.
Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and competitor activity.
