Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking meter readers in New South Wales to support our energy and utilities contracts. This casual role requires you to walk routes, read meters on-site, and work outdoors in all weather while following safety procedures.

Full training is provided, including how to use the device to find meters and enter readings. Join a close-knit team with clear processes and reliable support.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong time management and reliability.
• Good customer service and friendly communication.
• Motivation to work safely, follow schedules and complete readings correctly.

Responsibilities

• Read meters and record readings accurately using the provided device.
• Walk routes outdoors, in all weather, to complete scheduled readings.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and job schedules.
• Collaborate with the team and report issues promptly.
