Ideal candidates will have tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering, extensive plant experience and a demonstrated ability to translate data into practical improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in metallurgy or chemical engineering with a processing plant background.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities in a metallurgical setting.
• Proven leadership and mentoring capability within a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise metallurgical performance to meet recovery and product quality targets.
• Review data and plant trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical support to processing operations and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop and improve metallurgical operating practices and control strategies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for plant performance and efficiency.
• Mentor metallurgists and processing personnel across the team.
• Provide direction and prioritise workloads for the metallurgy team.
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety and sustainable development.
