Job summary

Iluka Resources is seeking a Metallurgical Technician to join the Jacinth-Ambrosia Mine on SA's Far West Coast. This permanent FIFO role offers an 8 days on/6 off roster with travel from Adelaide or Ceduna, on-site camp facilities and a collaborative safety-focused team.

You will collect and process samples from the Wet Concentrator Plant, ensure lab compliance, monitor performance metrics, and provide guidance to Operations to optimise processes and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• To be successful, a tertiary qualification in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline is required.
• Experience in a mineral processing plant, laboratory or related industry is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and data handling ability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process samples from the Wet Concentrator Plant (WCP) and report results.
• Ensure laboratory compliance, maintain equipment and stock levels.
• Monitor WCP performance, recovery and water quality metrics.
• Provide advice to Operations to adjust WCP settings.
• Develop safe work instructions and procedures for metallurgical tasks.
• Investigate WCP performance and propose process improvements and cost reductions.
• Coach Metallurgical Assistants and WCP operators.
