Job summary

Mount Isa Mines is seeking an experienced Manager – Operations to lead metallurgical operations at Mount Isa. You will drive safe, reliable production, lead a diverse team and partner across maintenance, technical services and engineering to deliver targets.

The role is residential in Mount Isa with a 5/2 roster, focusing on safety, process performance and continuous improvement. A strong leadership background in heavy industry and metallurgical processing is essential.

Qualifications

• Senior operations leadership in metallurgical processing, minerals processing or mining.
• Qualifications in metallurgy, chemical/process engineering or operations management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex processing environments.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical operations, process control, and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability delivering safety, production, quality, cost and continuous improvement outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational leadership across metallurgical operations.
• Promote a culture of safety, health, environmental responsibility and operational excellence.
• Deliver production, recovery, quality, cost and performance targets.
• Manage budgets, resources, contractors and priorities.
