Job summary

Mount Isa Mines is seeking a Superintendent - Fixed Plant Maintenance and Operations for George Fisher Mine. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee Supervisors and mechanical projects, and ensure safe, reliable maintenance outcomes while aligning with asset management plans.

The role is residential in Mount Isa, offering a 5/2, 4/3 roster and opportunities to develop leadership and technical skills within a premier mining operation.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years' experience in a comparable maintenance leadership role.
• Significant experience in underground mining inclusive of crushing and hoisting systems.
• Strong leadership and ability to engage multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of fixed plant maintenance, reliability and asset management principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Are you an experienced maintenance leader looking to advance your career in the mining industry?

Mount Isa Mines is seeking a skilled and motivated Superintendent - Fixed Plant Maintenance and Operations to join the Fixed Plant Maintenance team at George Fisher Mine.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to broaden their technical knowledge and further develop their leadership capability. Reporting to the Manager - Maintenance, you will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee Supervisors and mechanical projects, and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will model our agreed behaviours, promote a strong safety culture and support the delivery of safe, reliable and efficient fixed plant maintenance outcomes.

This is a residential position based in Mount Isa, working a lifestyle 5/2, 4/3 roster-a nine-day fortnight.

• Promote and reinforce a culture of safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead, engage and motivate a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
• Provide leadership and support to Supervisors within your area of responsibility.
• Oversee the maintenance and reliability of fixed plant equipment to support safe and consistent performance.
• Ensure maintenance activities align with the relevant asset management plans, including statutory and shutdown requirements.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
• Oversee mechanical projects and ensure they are delivered safely, effectively and within agreed parameters.
• Work collaboratively with operational and functional teams to achieve production, maintenance and reliability objectives.
• Manage budgets, resources and maintenance priorities effectively.
• Identify and manage maintenance-related risks in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Model and promote the behaviours expected across the team and broader business.
