Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing an established vehicle accident repair and bodyshop business in their search for a MET Technician to work in Speke, Liverpool. You will diagnose faults across a range of vehicle makes, carry out diagnostics using bodyshop equipment and strip and refit components.

The role is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (40 hours per week), permanent, with 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, friends and family discount scheme and retail discount scheme.

Qualifications

• Previous MET Technician or similar bodyshop role.
• Experience stripping and refitting vehicle components.
• Experience removing mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Ability to diagnose vehicles and fault assess.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must work accurately across many makes and models.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix faults across a range of vehicle makes and models.
• Carry out diagnostics using bodyshop equipment and strip/refit components.
• Work on mechanical, electrical and trim components including bumpers, doors and dashboards.
• Replace damaged components to restore roadworthiness and safety.

Experience as MET Technician

Component stripping & refitting

Diagnostics & fault assessment

Experience with mechanical, electrical

Full UK driving licence

Cross-model capability

Education

NVQ diplomas in vehicle disciplines

IMI Level 2 or higher

Level 3 Vehicle Damage ME & Trim qualification

Level 2/3 Apprenticeship in Vehicle Accident Repair
